The Garrett Chevy/GMC Duramax GT3788R turbo is a bolt-on upgrade replacement for the stock IHI journal bearing turbo and includes the following state-of-the-art design features: 88mm Garrett GT compressor wheel with 170+HP capability over the stock turbo; Garrett GT full ball bearing CHRA (center housing and rotating assembly) that eliminates thrust bearing failures at high boost levels and provides increased turbocharger response, efficiency and durability; Garrett GT turbine design for increased efficiency and reduced backpressure/exhaust gas temperatures and a water cooled center housing. |
