(Do some comparison shopping and you will find our competitors using a TD05 compressor housing with an 18G or even 20G compressor wheel to maximize their profit margin and supply you with a less efficient turbocharger.)
Optimal turbocharger response is achieved through the use of the Mitsubishi TD05H turbine wheel combined with an 8cm2 turbine housing that produces an additional 20 to 30 lb/ft peak torque over the 7 cm2 turbine housing.
Standard wastegate actuator is calibrated at 9 PSI and optional upgrade actuators are available in incremental pressures from 10 PSI to 19 PSI.
Like all of our WRX/STi bolt on upgrades, the TD05H-18G 8cm2is shipped complete with coolant pipes and turbo oil drain tube installed to simplify installation. The WRX/STi TD05H-18G 8 cm 2custom performance turbocharger is a direct bolt on upgrade and requires no modification to intake, exhaust, oil and coolant connections for installation.
